Degrees in Graphic & Information DesignThe Industrial Design degree, with 150 students, is housed within a larger Art
and Design department, containing roughly 900 students. The other degrees
offered are Fine Arts, Graphic design, Interior Design, and Art Education. The
emphasis of the curriculum is Consumer Product Design and Furniture.
Virginia Marti College of Fashion and Art offers Associate Degrees in Fashion
Merchandising, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, and Interior Desing. We also
award certificates for the completion of our Haute Couture - Dressmaking-
Tailoring & Alterations program.

Www.pitsch.org is an online design platform for students and the emerging designers of tomorrow. Pitsch was established in the winter of 2004 by students of the Berliner Technische Kunstschule. We have created this as a project for students, by students.
The last Pitsch contest took place in June 2005 and included, for the first time, participants from outside of the school realm. In order to promote Pitsch to the desired target group, Pitsch representatives made various appearances at The Designmai and the Typography fair "TYPO-Berlin" in Berlin this year. These platforms were used to promote Pitsch as a student competition for all graphic design and art students, as well as to invite and encourage these students to freely participate in Pitsch. It explains very well the color principle and some design techniques. It is a good book for beginning graphic artists with no formal art background (those who never studied art/GD in school). There are 5 parts to this book. Part one establishes desing principles, part 2 examines common color principles related to the use of color pigments, part 3 helps the beginner develop systematic color thinking with the aid of excercises, part 4 introduces priciples and techniques for generating colors on the computer and part 5 presents color sets and guides for attaining color harmony.
